How does the free trial work?
You can try the fully-featured and unrestricted free trials of Review, Studio, and cineSync on commercial projects, with as many users as you need with no credit card required. You can cancel your trial at any time and still have access for the remainder of the trial period. If you continue onto the paid plans, all of your data will remain so you can continue with your project uninterrupted. Do clients and external collaborators invited to a review count toward our seats?
No, that would be mean! An unlimited number of clients can be added to an account, absolutely free. Clients will be able to join reviews that are shared with them and will not have access to your schedule and projects.
How can I make changes to my plan?
You can make changes to your plan online at any time. In ftrack, sign in and select Subscription and Billing under your account in the top right corner. For cineSync, please contact [email protected].
What forms of payment do you accept?
You can purchase ftrack or cineSync with any major credit card: Visa, MasterCard and American Express. For annual subscriptions, we can issue an invoice payable by bank transfer.
How much media storage do I get?
Both Review and Studio plans come with 250 GB of storage, with the option to add more. Please note, this storage is geared more toward your online review media files, thumbnails, and metadata. Not production storage of your day-to-day work files. To learn more about linking your existing on-prem storage to ftrack, see this article. Can I mix Studio, Review, Enterprise, and cineSync plans?
All product plans have their own workspace and are independent of other products and workspaces. We don’t currently support the ability to have more than one product accessible via a single workspace, therefore all users must be on the same plan.
How secure is ftrack?
Data protection is a priority to ftrack. All communication with ftrack is sent over a SSL/HTTPS connection, the same technology used by banks. ftrack also has a powerful granular permission system for both your users and the custom data that you create. Our cloud-hosted plans run on ISO 27001 certified data centers.
ftrack has also completed and passed a Trusted Partner Network (TPN) assessment and an audit by cybersecurity experts Bishop Fox. ftrack also offers numerous security features, such as single sign-on, two-factor authentification, private projects and more.
How do I buy an add-on for my plan?
In ftrack, add-ons available on your plan can be purchased directly from your workspace in Subscription and Billing settings. Additionally, you can contact [email protected] to buy an add-on for your workspace.
How do I cancel my free trial?
At the end of your trial period, unless you add billing information, your site will automatically be torn down and all data destroyed.
How do I cancel my paid subscription?
To cancel your paid subscription plan in ftrack, sign in and select Subscription and Billing under your account in the top right corner, then select Cancel Subscription. Pre-paid service will continue until the end of your subscription period, at which time your plan will not renew.
What kind of support do I get?

Can I host an ftrack server locally?
Yes, we support local hosting behind your corporate firewall for Enterprise customers with licenses billed annually – conditions apply, please contact [email protected] for more information or visit the ftrack Enterprise enquiry page.
Can I mix monthly and annual plans?
Absolutely! We understand that projects and workloads can ramp up and down, we’ve been there before. With ftrack, we give you the flexibility to have both monthly and annual plans to suit your needs. Want to get 10 annual seats for your core team and a further 30 monthly seats for freelancers? With ftrack, you can. However, please note that the Enterprise plan is only available on an annual subscription only.
Will I be charged sales tax?
Tax fees will be added as applicable by law in your country/state/province based on the billing address provided.
What is a workspace?
A workspace is where all of your projects exist, accessible on company-name.ftrackapp.com, where company-name is the name of your workspace.
cineSync accounts are priced on "seats". What are seats?
Seats are the capacity of people involved in the review session. A two seat account will allow you to start a session and invite one other person to join you. A 20 seat account will allow you to invite 19 other people.
Can I upgrade my cineSync plan from Standard to Pro?
In order to upgrade your account from Basic to Pro before your account expires, please contact [email protected] for assistance.
How can I make changes to my cineSync plan?
You only need to purchase a cineSync account if you wish to start sessions. Guests may join your session without purchasing an account. They only need to download the cineSync client, available via our downloads page.
How does a cineSync license work? Do I need to buy one for every machine, or are they floating?
cineSync licenses are fully floating. You may use cineSync on any machine using your username and password.
Can I upgrade my account if I decide I need more users?
Accounts may be upgraded or renewed by logging in to your account portal through our website.
